[Cause]
This alarm is displayed when the robot control device fails to establish communication after trying to communicate with the welding power source. This message is treated as an alarm for the first time, but becomes a warning message after pressing RESET. Arc welding cannot be performed while the information is displayed, but the robot's movements can be performed.
[Countermeasure]
1. Confirm that the power supply of the welding equipment is turned on.
2. Confirm that the communication cable is connected correctly. For an Ethernet-connected Lincoln welding power source, verify that the Ethernet cable is connected to the Ethernet port 2 on the R-30iB control unit.
3. The welding equipment may not have been selected correctly. Select the welding equipment correctly on the arc welding tool setup screen displayed during a controlled start, and establish communication with the welding equipment. If an Ethernet-connected Lincoln welding power source suddenly cannot connect to the welding equipment and cannot recover, execute F3[Check] on the controlled-start interface and reconnect.
4. On the Arclink status screen, confirm the status of Arclink. In addition, in the case of Ethernet connection to the Lincoln welding power source, confirm the status of the Ethernet port. The Ethernet port must be in the state shown in the figure below (port number, R-30iB is 2). When the communication speed and communication method status are different from those shown in the figure, make two changes.
- During the process of establishing communication with the welding equipment, point the cursor to "10 Welding Equipment Speed", press F4[Select], and select "10Mbps". After making changes, turn the welding equipment back on.
- On the system variable interface, enter “2” in $ENETMODE[i].$SPEED (i is the port number displayed on the Arclink status interface). Also set $ENETMODE[i].$FULL_DUPLEX to “TRUE”. After making the changes, turn the robot controller power off and on again.
