Description
The backup battery arg of the serial measurement board (SMB) in the robot is missing, the battery is connected to drive module arg on the measurement link arg.
Consequences
SMB When battery power is interrupted, the robot will lose revolution counter data. This warning will be logged repeatedly.
Possible causes
This may be due to the SMB battery being discharged or not connected. For some robot models, the SMB battery power is supplied through a jumper in the robot signal cable (see controller circuit diagram), disconnecting the cable will block the battery power supply. Some early versions of the robot used rechargeable batteries, which must be charged for at least 18 hours to function properly.
Recommended actions
- Make sure a charged SMB battery is connected to the circuit board.
- Attention! Disconnecting the robot signal cable may disconnect the SMB battery power, triggering a battery warning to start recording.
- Follow the detailed instructions in the robot product manual to reset the battery power warning by updating revolution counter.
- If the battery is discharged, replace the battery.
