Cause

1. Incorrect cable wiring or poor contact between the serial conversion unit and servo unit
2. The specified cable is not used between the serial conversion unit and servo unit
3. Excessive cable length between the serial conversion unit and servo unit
4. Damaged cable jacket between the serial conversion unit and servo unit

Corrective action

1. Check external encoder wiring; correctly wire the cable between the serial conversion unit and servo unit.
2. Check external encoder cable specifications; use the correct specified cable.
3. Change the serial conversion unit connection cable length; keep the cable between the serial conversion unit and servo unit within 20m.
4. Check the serial conversion unit connection cable; replace the cable between the serial conversion unit and servo unit.
