Category: Alarm
Cause
Condition: The absolute encoder loses its internally recorded revolution count because of low battery voltage or interruption of the power supply. Causes:
- Battery voltage is too low.
- The battery is replaced while drive control power is Off.
- The absolute function is enabled without installing a battery.
- The battery power wiring has poor contact or an open circuit.
Corrective action
- Check whether the battery voltage is below 2.9V; after replacing the battery, reestablish the absolute origin coordinates.
- Do not replace or remove the battery while drive control power is Off.
- Recommended checks: (a) Install the battery. (b) Check the battery power wiring between the external battery box and the drive. (c) Check the encoder wiring.
- Confirm that the wiring allows the battery to supply the encoder normally, then reestablish the absolute origin coordinates.
