Description
The drive for joint arg gave an unspecified error, but could be due to excessive temperature or a short circuit. Connect the joint to drive module arg in the drive unit at device position arg and node arg.
Consequences
No operation is possible until the fault is corrected. The system will go to the "motor off" state with zero torque.
Possible causes
- The cooling fan may be faulty, or there may be poor airflow.
- Cooling fins are covered with dust, which reduces cooling effectiveness.
- The ambient temperature may be too high.
- The joint may have been delayed for a period of time with too high a torque.
- Short circuit or ground between phases of cable or connector.
- There is a short circuit or ground between the phases of the motor.
Recommended actions
- Verify that the fan is running and airflow is not blocked.
- Clean the cooling fins.
- Verify that the ambient temperature does not exceed the cabinet's temperature rating.
- If possible, rewrite the user program to reduce the amount of hard acceleration and hard deceleration.
- Reduce static torque caused by gravity or external forces.
- Check/replace cables and connectors.
- Check/replace motor.
