[Cause]
With a spot welding instruction or pressure motion instruction, the actual applied force did not reach the specified applied force within the specified time ($sgpxdata.$info[eq#].$lim_time [ms]). This may be due to the following reasons:
The cause differs according to the number after the message (1 or 2). (Note: Some versions do not display it.) Cause 1 (when insufficient applied force 1 is displayed): the moving-side tip did not detect contact with the workpiece or fixed-side tip.
1A) Tip wear is excessive, reducing the stroke limit. The pressure limit shown by SVGN-177 is the current pressure-side stroke limit. The reference limit shown by SVGN-177 is the pressure-side stroke limit with new tips. Check that the pressure limit has not become too small. The servo gun cannot, cannot be pressed to or above the pressure limit shown by SVGN-177.
1B) The push-in amount in the force conditions is too small.
1C) The thickness set value (the thickness shown by SVGN-177) is larger than the actual work.
1D) The gun mastering position is incorrect.
1E) The parameter for detecting gun closure is too large.
1F) The torque limit has been reached under the force instruction. The maximum motor torque on the servo gun setup screen is more restricted than the normal value.
1G) For a soft servo gun such as an X gun, the standard push-in depth during the air-closing motion for wear measurement is insufficient. Cause 2 (when “Insufficient pressure 2” is displayed): the specified applied force has not been reached or converged to.
2A) The specified applied force is too large or too small.
2B) Gun friction has increased (after gun tuning), causing false detection of contact with the workpiece or fixed-side electrode tip even though the moving-side tip has not closed. (In most cases, the gun stops while open.)
2C) The torque limit has been reached under the force instruction. The maximum motor torque on the servo gun setup screen is more restricted than the normal value. If none of the above causes applies, a failure in the gun body may prevent correct driving.
[Countermeasure]
1A) Replace the electrode tips and measure wear. (When using the maximum wear notification signal, replace the electrode tips immediately after the notification signal is output.) After measuring wear, check that the reference stroke limit on the servo gun setup screen is correct.
1B) Increase the push-in amount in the pressure conditions. (The setup screen is displayed when $SGSYSCFG.$SHO_PSHDPTH=TRUE.) If the alarm occurs during wear measurement, increase $SGGUN#.$SGTWD.$TW_PSHMGN.
1C) Sets the thickness setting value to be consistent with the actual work.
1D) When using electrode tip wear compensation, measure wear again. Alternatively, install new electrode tips and measure wear again, or perform mastering on the gun mastering screen.
1E) Check that the gun mechanical unit is operating properly and tune the gun again.
1F) Execute the force standard instruction to release the torque limit. Alternatively, restore the maximum motor torque on the servo gun setup screen to its normal value.
1G) Increase $SGGUN#.$SGTWD.$TW_PSHMGN from the standard value 5.0 to 8.0. If the alarm still occurs after the increase, increase it to 10.0.
2A) Perform gun tuning and force adjustment again. If readjustment does not resolve the problem, change the initial filter on the gun tuning screen. (The setup interface is displayed when $SGSYSCFG.$SHO_ATN_CFG=TRUE.)
2B) As a temporary countermeasure, set servo parameter $SBR[#].$PARAM[186] for the corresponding servo gun axis to 1.3 times its value and turn the power off and on again. (# is the servo gun hardware axis number. For axis 7, #=7.)
Caution: For a gun to which the temporary countermeasure has been applied, take this countermeasure as soon as possible. Do not apply the temporary countermeasure two or more times to the same gun. As the fundamental countermeasure, perform gun tuning and force adjustment again.
Note: If this alarm occurs in winter, it can sometimes be avoided by warming up the servo gun before production.
2C) Same as 1F.
