Description
In drive module arg, the bleeder resistor connected to the rectifier unit at position drive unit arg is about to become overloaded.
Consequences
It works, but the system quickly encounters a stop error.
Possible causes
- The user program may contain too many manipulator axis reductions. This failure is more likely to occur if the system is equipped with additional axes.
- The resistance value of the bleed resistor is wrong.
- There is a short circuit between phases or phase to ground in the motor cable.
Recommended actions
- Rewrite the user program to reduce the number of emergency decelerations.
- Disconnect the bleeder, check the cable and measure the bleeder resistance value. Expect the resistor value to be around ohms.
- Check the motor cable for an internal short circuit or a short to ground.
