[Cause]
The emergency stop circuit board or an additional safety I/O device could not be recognized at power-on. In a system connected to multiple safety I/O devices, the number of the safety I/O device where the alarm occurred is displayed at the end of the alarm message, as shown by (1). The safety I/O device number can be checked on the DCS safety I/O device screen.
[Countermeasure]
1. Check whether the fuse (FUSE1) on the emergency stop circuit board has blown. If a blown fuse is found, eliminate the cause and replace the fuse (FUSE1).
2. Check the cable between the emergency stop circuit board and the main board. If any abnormality is found, replace the cable.
3. Replace the emergency stop unit.
4. In the robot controller of a model connected to a slave controller, such as M-2000iA, this alarm occurs if an additional safety I/O device is connected. In this case, initialize the safety I/O device configuration.
5. When adding a safety I/O device, confirm the cable between the safety I/O board and the emergency stop circuit board. If any abnormality is found, replace the cable.
6. When adding a safety I/O device, replace the safety I/O device.
7. This alarm occurs if control is configured for 2 controllers but only 1 controller is present, or if the controllers are not connected through multi-controller control. Connect the appropriate controller. Before performing countermeasure 8 below, be sure to obtain an image backup of the controller.
8. Replace the main board and restore the image backup obtained. For details, take the appropriate countermeasures according to ‘Troubleshooting Based on Alarm Codes’ in the controller maintenance manual for the controller being used.
