Main causes:
-
The cooling fan for the servo amplifier unit's regenerative energy absorption resistor has stopped or failed, causing inadequate cooling and activation of the thermostat.
-
Teaching caused excessive regenerative voltage.
-
The ambient temperature around the controller is too high.
-
An open circuit or poor connection in the harness between X354 and XRS on the power supply unit power board.
-
The power supply unit power board is faulty.
-
A problem with the power supply unit control board.
-
The regenerative energy absorption resistor is faulty.
-
A problem with the servo board.
-
For an E03 controller, there is a problem with the power regeneration axis amplifier (JT6), power regeneration unit, reactor unit, or wiring.
Countermeasures:
-
Check that the cooling fan operates normally.
-
Change the taught data or reduce the repeat speed.
-
Reduce the controller ambient temperature.
-
Check the connections of each harness.
-
Replace the power supply unit.
-
Replace the regenerative energy absorption resistor.
-
Replace the servo board.
-
For an E03 controller, check the components listed in cause 9 above, and replace them if faulty.

CAUTION
Do not turn off the controller power immediately after operation ends. Keep the controller power on until the resistor has cooled sufficiently, then turn it off.
