Cause

1. Drive grounding conductor not securely connected
2. Strong interference sources near the drive

Corrective action

1. Add ferrite cores to the encoder and motor power cables
2. Securely connect the drive grounding conductor
3. Remove strong interference sources near the drive, or supply the drive and nearby strong interference sources independently
4. Add an input line filter to the drive power input supply
