[Cause]
Workpiece upper surface detection failed. Depending on the number at the end of the message, possible causes are:
1. The workpiece was not contacted during search motion. There may be no workpiece at the taught position.
2. Position calculation could not be performed. The workpiece may be too flexible.
[Countermeasure]
Move to the start position (SD) and check that a workpiece is present. Check that the panel does not deform by 3mm or more during workpiece upper surface detection. With a panel deforming by 3mm or more, accurate spot program position correction and gun touch teaching may not be possible. If it is sufficiently rigid, refer to Troubleshooting 4 under Spot Program Touchup Function in Servo Gun Function OPERATOR'S MANUAL. If motion stops before contacting the workpiece, refer to the same manual, Spot Program Touchup Function,
“Troubleshooting 2”。
If the problem recurs, take the following countermeasures:
1. Acquire diagnostic data for this condition. The diagnostic data acquisition procedure is described under Troubleshooting in Spot Program Touchup Function in Servo Gun Function OPERATOR’S MANUAL.
2. After this alarm occurs, before performing other operations (power-off or jogging), use the abnormal-state recording function (Abnormal state record in the auxiliary menu) to obtain an image backup and contact the service center. If abnormal-state recording cannot be used, record the conditions and operating steps leading up to the alarm, obtain an image backup and contact the service center.
