Category: Alarm
Cause
Condition: Excessive energy from the drive capacitor is released into the regenerative resistor, overloading it. Causes:
- Incorrect regenerative resistor selection or no external regenerative resistor connected.
- Incorrect parameter settings (P1.052, P1.053).
- Other energy (such as interference) feeds back into the drive, or the input supply voltage exceeds the rated permissible voltage.
- Drive hardware fault.
Corrective action
- Check the regenerative resistor connection and P1.052 and P1.053 settings.
- Reassess whether regenerative energy exceeds P1.053. If so, use a higher-power regenerative resistor.
- Use a voltmeter to check whether input supply voltage is within the rated permissible range (see appendix A specifications). If exceeded, remove the interference source.
- Measure P3 and the terminal voltage. If it differs from the DC Bus voltage at P0.002 = 14, the drive can be judged faulty; return it to the dealer or manufacturer for repair.
- If none of the above applies, use a physical oscilloscope with a differential carbon probe to measure whether high-frequency interference is present in the input voltage. If present, remove its source and use the correct voltage supply or connect a voltage regulator in series. Reset the alarm.
