[Cause]
An abnormally large current flowed through the main circuit of the servo amplifier. The numbers in parentheses indicate the motion group number and the axis number within that group.
[Countermeasure]
After turning off the controller power, disconnect the motor power cable of the axis on which the alarm occurred from the servo amplifier. To prevent the axis from dropping, also disconnect the brake cable.
1. Turn the power back on in the above state. If this alarm still occurs, replace the servo amplifier.
2. Check that there is no continuity between the U, V and W phases of the motor power cable and GND. If continuity is present, the power cable is faulty. Replace the cable.
3. Using a measuring instrument capable of measuring low resistance values, measure the resistance between U-V, V-W and W-U of the motor power cable. If the resistance at one of these 3 locations is extremely low compared with the others, there may be a short circuit between phases. The motor or the motor power cable may be faulty. Check them one by one and replace any faulty item.
For details, take the relevant countermeasures in “Troubleshooting Based on Alarm Codes” in the controller maintenance manual corresponding to the controller in use. For an additional axis, refer to the additional-axis maintenance manual.
Note: To clear this alarm, the power must be turned off and back on.
