[Cause]
During the empty closing motion for wear measurement, the movable electrode tip did not contact the fixed electrode tip. Alternatively, contact of the movable electrode tip was detected at a position beyond the error detection tolerance from the fixed electrode tip position.
[Countermeasure]
If the gun has not closed when this alarm occurs, re-mastering during wear measurement has failed. In most cases, this is because the gun's sliding friction has increased since automatic tuning. Perform automatic tuning again, eliminate the cause of the increased friction, or do both. Then replace the electrode tips with new ones and perform wear measurement again. On the other hand, if the gun is closed when this alarm occurs, electrode tip protrusion exceeds the allowable value. Compared with the reference electrode tip position measured during initial wear measurement setup, the currently installed electrode tip protrudes beyond the error detection tolerance set on the electrode tip wear detection settings screen. Causes include electrode tip installation and adhered foreign matter. If the electrode tips are in the correct condition, initialize wear measurement again by calibrating the reference position.
