Category: Alarm
Cause
- Poor encoder connection port contact or incorrect connector wiring
- Broken or short-circuited encoder cable, or use of a cable exceeding the specified impedance; corrosion caused by temperature, humidity, or gas; short circuits caused by water droplets or cutting oil; poor connector contact caused by vibration
- Malfunction caused by noise interference.
- Servo unit fault
Corrective action
- Check the encoder cable condition; use an encoder cable meeting specifications.
- Check the operating environment; improve it and replace the cable. If this still does not improve the condition, replace the servo unit.
- Wire the encoder peripheral connections correctly (separate the encoder cable from the servo motor main circuit cable, ground properly, etc.).
- Connect the servo motor to another servo unit and turn on control power. If no alarm occurs, the servo unit may be faulty. Replace the servo unit.
