Error handling: Display;
Error reset: Possible
Content: When controller power was switched on, the starting address of the I/O board based on the number of I/O signals set in auxiliary function 0611 could not be read correctly. Specifically, this error occurs in the following situation.
Number of input/output signals set in auxiliary function 0611 > Number of installed input/output boards × 32
However, this error does not occur when a PLC (programmable logic controller) board is used. INT (number of internal signals) in auxiliary function 0611 represents virtual signals in memory and is unrelated to the I/O board.
Main causes:
-
The setting of auxiliary function 0611 is incorrect.
-
An input/output board is not installed.
-
The DIP switch (SW1) for setting the input/output board address.
-
A problem with the I/O board.
Countermeasures:
-
Set the correct number of signals in auxiliary function 0611.
-
Set the DIP switch (SW1) correctly and install the board in the card rack. I/O boards are normally installed starting at the leftmost empty slot, but they operate normally wherever they are installed.

[NOTE]
- After this error is reset, automatic operation is possible even without an input/output board. In this case, inputs are fixed to OFF, while outputs can be switched between ON and OFF by the AS software as usual.
- The maximum number of signals can be set using auxiliary function 0611. The maximum settings are 960 for DO and DI, and 960 for INT. The number of DI/DO signals also depends on the hardware and other parameters. Normally, installing/removing an input/output board increases/decreases the number of signals in units of 32.
