Description
Under normal circumstances, the previous system state will be automatically reloaded after a system update. In this case, loading the state failed, so the system was reset and started with an empty configuration.
Consequences
All user programs and system parameter must be manually reloaded before system update.
Possible causes
In some cases, such as the removal or addition of certain optional features or a major upgrade of an installed software product version, the previous system state may be incompatible with a recently reconfigured system. Event log files are saved in the home directory and may help identify incompatible configurations that are causing problems.
Recommended actions
Suggested alternatives:
- Continue to use the updated system and re-execute procedures and configurations, for example by selectively reloading the contents of a previously valid backup.
- Use snapshots to restore a previous valid system state.
- Perform a complete reinstallation of the RobotWare system by using the RobotWare installation utility and then reloading a valid backup.
