Description
The external CIP safety scanner attempted to connect to and write to the CIP safety adapter. However, another scanner with a different IP address and/or safety network number (SNN) already has a connection to the CIP safety adapter. The current owner's IP address and SNN are written to the non-volatile memory of the CIP safety adapter.
Consequences
- The external CIP safety scanner is unable to connect and write signals to the CIP safety adapter of the robot controller.
Possible causes
- The IP address and/or SNN of the external CIP safety scanner has changed.
- The connection to this CIP Safety adapter already belongs to another external CIP Safety scanner.
Recommended actions
- Confirm that the external CIP safety scanner's IP address and/or SNN are as expected.
- Reset CIP safety to clear ownership of the CIP safety adapter's non-volatile memory.
